Therapeutic Equine-assisted Riding Lessons
The participant lesson program at Stockhands is the core of what we do. Lessons run Sunday through Thursday, averaging approximately 100 lessons per week with participants ranging in age from four-year-old kids to senior citizens in their seventies.
Lesson content varies based on the skill and abilities of each participant, and may include riding, grooming, horsemanship, driving, and a variety of both on- and off-horse activities and games. Our customized classes include adaptive therapeutic lessons for participants with autism spectrum disorder, behavior challenges, physical and development disabilities, ADHD, and anxiety.
All Stockhands instructors are PATH Certified riding instructors, and our program is operated under the supervision of a Certified Equine Specialist through the HERD Institute.
