Volunteering

Previous equine experience is not required to become a Stockhands volunteer. We offer a free orientation to new volunteers in addition to ongoing training opportunities throughout the year.

Stockhands volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and able to safely work in a physically taxing environment. Visit our Volunteer page for a list of volunteer opportunities.

Programs

Our program focuses on individuals with mental, physical and emotional needs requiring unique therapies. While our program is geared toward young riders, we offer opportunities for adult riders, as well. Contact us to learn more about current program openings and eligibility.

Veterans Night is open to service members from all branches. Participation is available at no cost with proof of service.

First Responders Night is open to police, fire, EMS, and dispatchers. There is no fee to participate in the program.

Other

Stockhands does not rescue horses or provide rescue services.

While trail rides are incorporated into our programs and corporate outings, Stockhands does not offer trail rides to the public.
