Sara McNeil, MS LCDC III // Chemical Dependencies Counselor
Sara graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Business Psychology. She began her career as a therapist at a local treatment center, helping others on their path to recovery. As a therapist, Sara utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Gestalt principles, meditation, and mindfulness techniques to assist her clients in maintaining sobriety and achieving optimal wellness. She also provides family therapy for clients diagnosed with substance use health issues. Sara values holistic approaches to wellness.
Sara developed an affinity for horses at a young age, and by the time she was 10 years old, she realized that her relationship and work with horses would be lifelong. Her love for horses, combined with her passion for helping others, fueled her interest in Equine Assisted Therapy. She has been conducting Equine Assisted Therapies for over 5 years at Stockhands.
