Lisa Funk // Co-founder
Lisa graduated from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1992. From there, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse in central Ohio, primarily focusing on home health care for the elderly and children. Throughout her journey, Lisa has been blessed with two wonderful children, Courtney and Cody.
Lisa’s extended family has always been involved with horses and she quickly discovered she shares their passion. In 2008, her almost two-year-old nephew was diagnosed with autism and their lives changed. The entire family supported her nephew's development, working diligently to encourage him to speak, make eye contact, and achieve other milestones. When Lisa introduced him to horseback riding lessons, she witnessed the profound impact equine therapty can have on children and adults on the autism spectrum, as well as those navigating other disorders. Recognizing the transformative potential of horses, Lisa aspires to make it more widely accessible to others in need.
