The Equine Experience
Humans and horses share a special bond that has been documented for centuries.
Coping with a mental, physical, or emotional challenge isn’t easy. Therapeutic riding programs and equine engagement offer various benefits to those navigating these challenges by helping them discover a sense of confidence, community, peace, control, mental and emotional well-being, purpose, pride, and more.
Stockhands Horses for Healing was founded in 2014 based on the belief that horses have the power to heal. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides equine-assisted therapeutic services to children and adults living with mental, physical, and emotional challenges arising from a wide range of diagnoses, including PTSD, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Located in Delaware, Ohio, we proudly serve our home county and the surrounding central Ohio communities.
